And then there were 18

And then there were 18

An Old Man on a horse, a Bug and a Gargoyle walk into a tavern…

Stop bugging me!
Visage is always exercising with his walking hand weights.
With The International arriving in just over a month, we want to give the competing teams some time to practice with a stable Hero roster, and as few new bugs from us as possible. With that in mind, after today’s update we’ll be clamping things down a tad, focusing on getting the existing feature and hero set polished to a high sheen. Fear not, we will continue to work on new heroes internally, getting them ready for a release once The International is over.
Today’s update also includes the first of a planned set of improvements to the in-game tools for Workshop contributors. This first piece is an Import Wearable wizard, which will handle the compilation validation of wearables for you. All you need to do is model, texture, and skin the wearable to your favorite hero, and then the Import tool will do the rest. When you submit an imported model, it’ll pack it into an organized .zip file, which makes it much easier for us to get it into the game, thereby increasing the number of community submissions we’ll be able to include. We’d love to hear any feedback or suggestions you have for this tool, or future tools, so once you’ve checked it out, head over to the new Workshop Tools forum.
Look at this beautiful UI element.

Captain’s Changelog, Dota date July 26th 2012.

The song of war commences.

The song of war commences.

Cover your ears and ignore the call, Slithice the Naga Siren is nothing but trouble.
Anyone got a towel?
Today’s update also introduces our first Workshop submitted Announcer, The Pirate Capn! It’s also a great time to remind you that if another player in your game has a custom announcer equipped you can opt-in and listen to it via the Announcer Selection panel.
Yar! Here be funny quotes!
The Pirate Cap’n would consider it an act of mutiny if you don’t select him.
This week we’re making Co-op Bot matchmaking have the same rules and rewards as normal matchmaking. Players that leave games or AFK will receive Abandons, but it also means that players will earn Battle Points and receive item drops at the end of Co-op Bot games. We know that many players enjoy playing games against bots and we want to make sure that they get to participate in the fun of getting items and gaining levels. If you just want to try out a hero for a couple minutes, don’t worry, you can still make yourself a practice lobby that you’re free to leave whenever you’d like.
Finally, new stats have been added to the spectator experience. These new panels show the most requested stats from the community and broadcasters.
Hey you two, get out of here!

DOTA2 : Ready to release

For MM gamers, who are seriously want to play Dota2,
For MM gamers, who are seriously waiting an invite,
Providing Ready to play package, it's only about 40,000 mm kyats.

For now, we have about "10 Packages" available, so be the First.

If you want, just read and contact or drop a line to "soulofthesun1992@gmail.com"

Sorry for my late in posting news because of my exams in the past weeks.By the way, good news for all of you is DOTA2 is ready to release.
In Dota2 Store, a dota2 invite only is 39.99 US$. You will need paypal or visa or some kind
of credit card to buy it. I think it will be difficult in myanmar because of about 99% of
myanmar citizens don't have credit cards. Although you can buy it , you will need to download the DOTA2 which will take about 3 days.
So, let me introduce this thing.
This is the product I am released. It contains the following items,

(1) A DVD containing downloaded dota2 beta ,
(2) Steam account and steam password ,
(3) System requirement and internet connection requirements information letter,
(4) Product ID (Our own ID) and
(5) Contact information.

An invite from steam store is about 39.99 $. It will need to download the dota2
files which will be very boring to wait. This ready package will be sold with 40,000 mm kyats
45 - 47 US$. The name of the buyer and the product will be listed and we will always provide
any help for the problems you encounter.
The product is always updated every week. One update usually comes with about
170 - 200 MB. So, it is not a problem that you want to update yourself. For our customers who don't want to download and wait, we will provide every update with 1000 mm kyats , 1.24 US$.(Note- a steam account only works in one PC. So, buying an update , you will be asked your purchased steam account , password and product ID of Dota2)

Therefore, you will not need to buy an invite from steam store and download the
files with the annoying connection. No need invite, no need to download, just purchase a product
and enjoy the most popular game in the world , the DOTA2.

In Defence of the Temple

In defense of the Temple.

Yep, and just like that you’re dead. Templar Assassin is quick and effective.
If you play in a 80's Heavy Metal revival band, feel free to use this image as your album cover.
For those who purchased tickets to The International, you should be receiving an email soon with all the information needed to attend. If you haven’t cracked open your ticket, now’s the time since unclaimed tickets will be going away soon.
Speaking of high end tournaments, there’s quite a few running right now. You can find passes for the Star Ladder LAN Finals, It’s Gosu Monthly Madness Asia, and The Defense in the Dota 2 Store. If you purchased a ticket for The Defense before today, you will receive a crate and key. Magical surprises await inside as a thank you to all those that helped us get our Tournament System into shape.
Finally, an important PSA on behalf of the Radiant Honor Guard:

If you find the stolen chest do not, I repeat, do NOT try to open it with this key. Contained within are relics of unknown power and only certain… wizards are qualified to handle them.
Changelog is located here.

Who Disturbs the Dead?

Who disturbs the dead?

Just like in the old tale of Frankenstein, the missing ingredient to bring Undying back from the dead was lightning, and Disruptor was more than happy to provide.
hay guys check DisRaptor im riding...
I'm using this space to apologize for that joke in the other image, I'm truly sorry.
Tournament stuff!
  • Starladder is wrapping up next week! Click here if you think V1LAT is dreamy.
  • It’s Gosu Monthly Madness is back and they’re going to Asia.  Road trip!!
In other Tournament news, if you’ve purchased a ticket to watch The Defense then you know we’ve had some hiccups during the past week while watching live games. We believe we have everything straightened out and it should go smoother after this update, so thanks for helping us improve the Dota TV and Tournament systems.
For those interested in producing content for Dota 2′s workshop we’ve updated the guidelines. Give it a read if you’re looking to be the best… around.
Changelog? We don’t need no stinking chang… I guess we do, here.

The Dark Moon comes

The Dark Moon comes.

Don’t act all surprised just because this is one of those double hero weeks with Luna and Wisp joining the Dota 2 cast of heroes.
Today you will also be able to access the Heropedia. There you will be able to browse the hero list, learn what they are capable of doing, and thanks to the Dota Cinema guys, you will be able to watch videos that showcase their abilities in action.

You can also browse all the items and read descriptions about what they do.

The Heropedia will continue to grow in the coming months with features like user made guides, art and more.
Another feature we want to talk about is the switch of our in-game voice system to a higher quality codec. If you were waiting for the commentator’s voice fidelity to improve before acquiring a ticket for The Defense, then you should take another listen. We will of course keep an eye (ear?) out and make more adjustments based on community feedback. NOTE: This feature will not address Tobi and friends missing first blood, that is an unfixable problem.
You can find today’s changelog here.
